“Kinetic,” “non-Kinetic” (War and Peace)
now masquerades as “English” for the few
who misuse language, their own skids to grease,
as if what Orwell wrote is something new.
The point: to get war started, not to cease,
then find some – any – way to join the queue.
What once was Just-in-Time is Just-in-Case.
The president’s two envoys talk “win-win”.
Our government (“Republic”) has its place,
just not in any game does it have skin
where global oligarchs our Coin debase
and label “virtue” what we once called Sin.
Our Founding Fathers (slave owners) designed
a Constitution we’ve now undermined.

Syme said to Winston Smith, “You do not grasp
the beauty of destroying words.” He meant:
Few meanings leave few helping hands to clasp.
And so, The Party rules without consent.
Against the President no strictures rasp.
He launches war with no informed assent.
Gone badly, though, he soon laments his choice
as promises he made go unfulfilled,
and what he did deaf to the People’s voice
leaves him alone the reason for those killed.
Still, He can say “despair” means “to rejoice”,
and “desperate” means that He’s “really thrilled.”
The Ministry of Truth (Fox News these days)
Will tell Him what He means by what He says.
